In Defense of God
The atheistic reductionist view of the Creator of the Universe and dulling Him down as an anthropomorphic, Father-Time old man wagging his finger in the sky, is just as elementary and crude as the ‘Flying Spaghetti Monster’ moniker given to Him. It reduces His awesomeness and majesty to that of the old man yelling “get off my lawn.” I, too, would be wary to worship and follow the edicts of a ‘Flying Spaghetti Monster.’ Some would even call such a thought ludicrous. And yet, that is the argument I hear repetitiously from those who would demolish the pillars of my faith to the ground and have me pilloried in the town square as some voluminous lunatic. When a Yogi repeats a mantra in an effort to obtain mindfulness, he is viewed as enlightened and free.
